Kat Stevens is an educator, writer, and theater enthusiast local to the Tidewater area. Her co-hosted podcast "Keeping It Creepy with Cherry And Kat" recently launched its seventh season and focuses on horror from the perspective of women of color. She previously helped to develop "The ShoPowSho" which explores Filipino and Filipino American culture and industry. After nearly a decade of experience with high school theater and community event development, Kat is thrilled for the chance to work on this exciting tale of myth and legend grounded by the experience of what it means to be Filipino.

Philip Odango is an award-winning designer, community builder and educator whose videos have amassed over 10 million streams on YouTube and has designed costumes for celebrities such as Mindy Kaling and Danny Trejo. Philip began cosplaying in 2004 and has since been an invited guest, presenter all over the world, using his platforms to help others in discovering their creative self-expression. As a creative coach, Philip helps artists to uncover and understand what may be preventing them from making their most authentic work. He provides them with tools to understand their creative process more effectively so they can engage in their creative activities and develop a strong, sustainable and nurturing practice. August 3 – Intro to Directing & Script Analysis - 6:00 - 8:00pm
Led by Patrick Mullins, this session introduces key tools for directors at every stage of development. Participants will explore how to read a script with a director’s eye, break down scenes, and begin crafting a point of view—laying the foundation for strong, imaginative storytelling in rehearsal and performance and performance.
August 10 - Audition Technique and How You Enter a Room - 6:00 - 8:00pm
Led by Leila Stephanie, this session focuses on the mental and emotional preparation needed for powerful auditions. Participants will sharpen their technique while also tackling the psychological side of the process—how to stay grounded, present, and fully themselves in the room.
August 24 - Stage Management: Making Arts Through Culture Building - 6:00 - 8:00pm
Led by Connor Norton, this session dives into the art of stage management as a creative and cultural practice. Participants will explore how strong organizational skills, empathetic leadership, and intentional communication shape the artistic process and foster healthy, collaborative environments.
