Join us in one of Virginia’s most well-preserved examples of colonial architecture. Built by ship’s carpenter Francis Thelaball, this historic home showcases exquisite craftsmanship, from brick jack arches to a delicate closed-spindle staircase. The property, lovingly preserved through generations, offers a glimpse into the daily lives of early Tidewater families, including the Thelaballs and those they enslaved. With its rich history and timeless charm, the Lynnhaven House provides a breathtaking backdrop for an outdoor immersive production of Romeo & Juliet, where love and fate unfold beneath the stars. Though currently closed for restoration, special programs continue at the Lynnhaven Colonial Education Center, keeping the spirit of the past alive.
